GNUnion

[image of the Head of a GNU]

In May, 1999, the Free Software Foundation hired me, Gordon Matzigkeit, to act as its GNU Release Coordinator. My task is to bring together people in order to release version 1.0 of the complete GNU system.

GNUnion is my code name for that release.

GNUnion has neither a marketing budget nor a spiffy logo (yet).

It only has the name `GNU', and the individuals who share our vision for a completely free, well-integrated operating system that fills everybody's needs.

Won't you join me?
