Its name sound not german at all, really.
From economical point of view, 80% of Europe is part of Germany.
In Italy, we have some germanophone country, such Tirole and
also an entire valley, in Piemont, Italy North-West, the Gressoney Valley,
that claims to descend from a german people called Walser (?)
But to affirm that Italy is part of the Germany (although planned
in the past) is an overstatement :-)
