I do not know, but I think other users may be able to startx if it is in the
sudoers file, like so "user /usr/X11R6/bin/startx"
where user is the user who is permitted to start X-windows, although they
may remain root after X starts. Try it and find out.
A better method might be to remove the comment from the startx line in
inittab. You might have to setup -s lock to make this work.

Thanks for the source code. Just to ask this question before I go on to
compile it: will other users be able to startx? Currently only root can
start X.
