Last week I was buying a Sharp 'Zaurus' (PDA,organizer) on ARM!
So if your IPAQ runs on LINUX (like my 'Zaurus') I could help you
at least with the e3c/wordstar mode on the ARM.
Does the IPAQ runs on linux?
If YES and if you are interested I'd release my e3c_for_ARM
as a *.ipk package.
What do you think?

PS: BTW it was not hard to cross-compile that by self, but I did
some minor adjustments for the small terminal window.
