Might I suggest that you thing over this issue again? Perhaps you
could use this desire of yours as a motivation to dig into the Linux
interna and learn more about this interesting system?
You surely know that most Free Software was/is produced because people
want to solve some personal problems or make their whishes come true...
It looks like your situation is similar: You wish you had a moer modern
kernel for your harddisk-cloned muLinux but you don't have the knowledge
to realize this wish - so why not _get_ the knowledge step by step?
BBut of course: That's only an idea that came to my mind... :-)
