The script simply use this algorithm:

Maybe a good "setup -a custom" will put all in a sane state. Then,
save the profile and do some test.

Maybe, the script will replace also the file /etc/version, I'm not
sure. Only a real test can tell new the truth.
The script 'upgrade' is experimental, but algorithm is not totally
stupid.
