Try to read a 3-button mouse how-to (somewhere on the net, multiple
locations). They sometimes suggest to do a cold-reboot, pressing the
RIGHT button. E.g. keep it pressed until you see "login". Maybe it'll
help? It surely helped my wheeled mouse to be finally recognized by mu.
