Hi,
I'm going to use a Clinux port for my commercial project. I'm hunting
around at the moment to see whats on offer.
I've already
seen the Altera/Microtronix offering (@ $2495), FLEX20K + 16MB SDRAM, 8MB FLASH
and
a 10MBIT
ETHERNET unit with all the development tools. But does anybody know of other
kits or tools hiding out
there?
Does anybody
know any sites where people have ported Clinux to an Xilinx
device?
My ideal
system would have a DIMM socket on it so the user can add their own memory and
an Ethernet unit
which can
operate at 100% in a switched 100mbit environment. Plus of course around 50 I/O
pins left over for
my piece of
hardware to interface to it with.
The coldfire
processors (www.mot.com/coldfire) have
a solution in their MCF5262 (integrated Ethernet) CPU but
it
doesn't
handle 100mbit switched Ethernet properly (runs at 50%!) so this is my current
contender with me handling
the Ethernet
side in my FPGA section.
Thanks,
Paul
